Every year, the German Design Council awards the German Brand Award to pioneering brands. Lamy has won over the independent panel several times.

Lamy has been honoured with the coveted German Brand Award twice in a row for the successful interplay of design, product quality
and marketing: in 2016 Lamy received the golden German Brand Award in the area of “Office & Stationery”. This was followed in 2017 by the award in the premium class of “Excellence in Branding”. Here, Lamy was honoured with a German Brand Award as “product brand of the year” and with the winner’s badge in the in category of “Industry Excellence in Branding – Office & Stationery”.

German Brand Award: a special honour
The German Design Council and the German Brand Institute give the German Brand Award to successful brands for consistent brand leadership and sustainable brand communication. The award is decided by an independent panel of brand experts from different disciplines.
Only companies that have been nominated
for the German Brand Award by the German Brand Institute, its brand scouts and expert panels can take part in the competition. The award stands for exceptional brand competence – this is supported not least by the reputation of the German Design Council, the professional competence of the panel and the demanding nomination process.
