Naoto Fukasawa
The great talent of designer Naoto Fukasawa, who was born in Japan in 1956, lies in giving objects a form that is oriented towards the unconscious behaviour of the person. He implements this design philosophy, which he calls “Without Thought”, in his work for leading
international brands such as Muji, ERCO, B&B Italia, Maruni, Magis and Herman Miller. A number of the product icons he has designed are displayed in the MoMa in New York. For Lamy, Naoto Fukasawa has designed the LAMY noto ballpoint pen, of which millions have been sold.
Designed by Naoto Fukasawa:
Minimalist and highly functional: with its triangular, rounded form, the LAMY noto matches the ergonomics of the hand. The incorporated – almost flush – clip is imperceptible when writing and supports the symmetrical shape of the writing instrument.
I am interested in the relationship between things and people.
